Three Tends To Consider For Your Engagement Ring

An engagement ring should not be the reason a bride accepts a proposal, but it is still important to choose the right ring. In some ways, your girlfriend could look at the ring you offer her and take it as your estimate of her worth. This does not mean that you have to take out a loan or sell a kidney to buy her a one-of-a-kind ring. Instead, you need to choose a ring that reflects how special your bride is to you. With that in mind, here are three trends in engagement rings that are worth considering.

Not Every Metal that Glitters is Yellow Gold

White and yellow gold are two of the most common metals to be used in engagement rings, but that does not mean that no other option is worth considering. There are other options on the market—including rose gold. The pink tones of this metal will add a feminine touch to a band and set it apart from other bands on the market. You can also consider using one color of metal for the band and a different color for the prongs or for a halo around the diamond.

Size Is not All that Matters

The size of the diamond in a ring is one way to determine its worth, but a large white stone is not the only option for the jewel featured in an engagement ring. If you feature a ruby or emerald in a ring, you give the ring a classic look. While using a yellow, pink, chocolate, or black diamond will give your ring the ability to stand out from the crowd of white diamonds out there. You should also consider using a marquise or pear-shaped stone since this two will help it stand out as well.

Vintage Design

If you use a ring that features designs that were popular in past decades or centuries, you can give the ring a sort of timeless beauty. Rather than looking like another ring on the market, it will instead look like an heirloom.

While you should not subscribe to the idea that the monetary value of a ring is a good measure of how much you love your bride-to-be, you should take the time to choose a ring that will show how special she is to you. While it would take volumes to describe all the options out there for choosing an engagement ring, the ideas described above will at least give you a place to start. Making My Look More Interesting

A few months ago, I caught a glimpse of myself when I was walking by a large mirror. I couldn't believe how old I looked. It was as if my personality had been sucked right out of my body. I knew that I had to do something to turn things around, so I went to a friend for help. She suggested sprucing up my look with a little jewelry, and I decided to give it a shot. I was nervous to wear earrings, bangles, and necklaces, but it made a huge difference. My blog is all about teaching people how to use jewelry in exciting ways, so that you can feel your best.
